Cydric Dragonsbane

Cydric Dragonsbane is a small goblin from the White Hand tribe who lives to the north of the Innland Inn. Cydric's family has been staunch supporters of the Vikerski family for many generations and is instrumental in bringing peace to the northern hills.

Cydric, seeking fame like his father, ran away from home. He met up and joined with the barbarian Bord as the Bord's disciple. Even by goblin standards, Cydric was still considered to be a child.

Unknown to Cydric, Bord had been cast out of his tribe for an act of cowardice that had resulted in the death of three other members of the tribe. Wandering in exile towards the Innland Inn, he met Cydric roaming to the west of Cydric's village and befriended him with untrue tales of might and valour. Cydric, believing him, joined Bord to seek fame and fortune.

Bord and Cydric made their way to The Innland Inn in time to join the party that would be known as the Spicy Travellers to infiltrate the temple of Mict\U00000113cacihu\U00000101tl. The infiltration team accepted Cydric and Bord due to Cydric's association with Cerulean, a blink dog who was already a team member. Cerulean and Cydric grew up together and were close friends.

During the infiltration of the temple, the party became suspicious of Bord and his intentions, especially considering how inexperienced and young Cydric was. During the final battle atop the temple, it was apparent that Bord shoved Cydric into the path of danger in order to save himself. Cydric was badly wounded and only survived because of the quick thinking of Cerulean.

Bord disappeared during the chaos of the remaining battle. After the temple was destroyed, Cydric was reunited with his father and returned to his village.

Cydric's father, realising his son was intent on becoming as famous as his father, decided that he needed to ensure his son would survive. And so Cydric's training as a Ranger, just like his father, commenced.

Cydric was taught woodcraft, how to fight using a bow as a first resort and a long-sword when in close, and how to communicate and care for woodland creatures. Cydric accompanied his father on many quests for both his tribe and the Vikerski family. He became close friends with Fia Vikerski, Pietr's and Mika's youngest daughter.

Throughout all this, Cedric retained his impetuous nature, which, at times, got him into some serious trouble.

One such incident resulted in Cydric adopting a wolf. Although this wolf was very young, it became a constant companion to Cydric. It was not long after this adoption that Cydric encountered a group of Dwarves searching for their lost kin. He decided to help them.

Unbeknownst to his father, Cydric decided to guide these Dwarves in their quest to find their kin. They found the Dwarves' kin in battle with the Spicy Travellers, but they had been turned into zombies. They were under the control of some sort of undead creature covered in wrappings. The Spicy Travellers defeated the undead and laid many of them to their final rest.

Cydric was happy to see Cerulean again but was guarded about Airgrid for some reason. Cydric knew of Airgrid. Cydric and Wolf accompanied the Spicy Travellers back to the Innland Inn. During the journey, it became apparent that Cydric had taken off again without letting his father know. When Airgrid heard this, he grinned at Cydric, who then seemed very uncomfortable.

Once back at the Inn, a message was sent to Cydric's father. Before leaving, Cydric's father and Airgrid were seen discussing something with Cydric, who became excited. An agreement seemed to be reached, and Airgrid, Cydric, and Wolf then left. The agreement reached was for Cydric to obtain further training with Pietr Junior, Deuce, at the newly opened Spicy Travellers Inn.

Pietr and Cydric then spent time liaising with the elves, hunting down Dragonkin roving bands and helping Pietr pacify the general area around the Spicy Travellers Inn. Pietr also found that the reconstruction of the Inn was being mismanaged, with a large amount of the money that was supposed to be used for reconstruction being embezzled. Cydric backed up Deuce when the contractor was confronted. Cydric then became a bit of a dog's body in helping to restore the Spicy Travellers Inn.

Not long after this, Cerulean's family journeyed to the Spicy Travellers Inn to take up residence.

Cydric was sent to the Elves to deliver various documents, including a new treaty. On the return from this journey, Cydric came across a group of Dragonkin travelling through the forest. Following this group, Cydric found that these Dragon kin were setting up a small village near the forest's edge. Knowing what other Dragonkin had done in the area, Cydric was very cautious in his surveillance. Still, he was discovered, and rather than attack him, they peacefully just watched. After a few minutes, another Dragonkin arrived, looked at Cydric, and cast a spell. Cydric attempted to flee, but before moving, he heard the second Dragonkin call out, "Welcome, friend. Do you live around here?". The Dragonkin could speak Goblin.

Curious but still cautious he stopped and turned around. No one in the village had moved, and everyone was still watching him.

After a lengthy discussion, Cydric found that these Dragonkin had fled the Dragonkin wars in the north. This village consisted of Green Dragonkin, Black Dragonkin, and Goliath's. Cydric told them of his encounters with a Black Dragonkin named Pip Lim and his death, the Red Dragonkin at the temple of Mict\U00000113cacihu\U00000101tl, and what he had heard regarding Blue Dragonkin.

When Pip's name was mentioned, Cydric saw the Black Dragonkin's face tighten with anger.

After much more discussion, the villagers agreed to send a delegation to the Spicy Travellers Inn to discuss the matter. The delegation consisted of Bogs Ironstone, a Goliath, and Shiccish Drazire, a Green Dragon born. They did not make it.

While travelling along the lake's eastern shore to the north of The Spicy Travellers Inn, a group of Blue Dragonkin ambushed the delegation. Amongst the ambushing group were a Minotaur and two goblins. After a heated battle, Bogs and Cydric were captured. Shiccish Drazire was killed not before he managed to kill two of the Blue Dragonkin. Wolf was severely injured. Once, one of the goblins, determined that Wolf was important to Cydric, he promptly tortured Wolf to death in front of Cydric.
